Sarga 28

मुक्तासकाशं सलिलं पतद्वै सुनिर्मलं पत्रपुटेषु लग्नम्। हृष्टा विवर्णच्छदना विहङ्गा स्सुरेन्द्रदत्तं तृषिताः पिबन्ति4.28.35।।

muktāsakāśaṃ salilaṃ patadvai sunirmalaṃ patrapuṭeṣu lagnam. hṛṣṭā vivarṇacchadanā vihaṅgā ssurendradattaṃ tṛṣitāḥ pibanti4.28.35..

language

English Translation

"'Thirsty birds rejoice drinking exceedingly pure water held in leafcups offered by Indra (in the form of rain), which looks like pearls collected in the leafcups. As the drops fall on them the hue of their wings seems to change (fade)."
